Payment and Cancellation

Payment is due before Herbal consultation services begin, or herbal products are shipped. I understand that sometimes you may need to cancel your appointment, and kindly ask you to do so 24 hours beforehand. Any cancellations made after the 24 hour window will be charged full price as if attended. However, in case of emergency, this fee may be lifted.

Sliding scale, or payment plan options are available upon request. However these options are primarily reserved for individuals who are low income, have a disability, are BIPOC, or may not be able to access these services any other way.  Please reach out at sierra.herbalist@gmail.com if you would like to discuss these options. I will try not to turn anyone down to the best of my ability.

Confidentiality

At Earth and Bone Botanicals, I take confidentiality and privacy seriously. I ensure that every patients file is safely kept and won't be shared with else without their consent. All consultations and conversations had with patients are completely confidential and will stay between the patient and myself. **This does not apply individual is in danger of being harmed or information is required by law.

Patient rights and responsibilities

Patients have a responsibility to disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medications that may interact with their formulas. If pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult with a medical professional before commencing herbal formulas. Patients have a responsibility to answer health questions as accurately as possible, and to the best of their knowledge. Failure to do so may impact the effective or herbs, or in the worst case scenario, cause bodily harm due to an adverse reaction. When important health information is omitted by the patient, Earth and Bone Botanicals does not take responsibility for the harm caused.
Patients have the right to discontinue treatment, or a consult, at any moment. You do not have to disclose information that you are not comfortable sharing. You may choose to purchase herbal formulas with us or elsewhere.

Limitations of practice
As a herbalist I am unable to diagnose medical conditions, request medical testing, or access an individuals health records. Non of the information provided on this site, or during herbal consultations, is intended to diagnose, treat, or replace medical information given by a doctor. I may suggest additional tests, and or follow up appointments with a medical professional, is it the patients decision whether to follow up on this advice. However, failure to do so may delay the creation or herbal formulas or impact healing outcomes.
I cannot wean anyone off medication unless it has been deemed safe to do so by a medical professional or the patient's doctor. I prioritize the patient's safety and well-being, and always try to  work in collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible care.
While herbs can help with a wide range of both physical and mental health, I acknowledge that some issues may be out of my knowledge or practice. In such cases, I will refer the patient to a practitioner who I feel is better suited to their individual case. My priority is always the patient's well-being, and I strive to provide the best care possible.
